Assessments

Assessment for Autism

Clear, thorough assessments are the foundation of effective therapy.
At QPAH, our experienced team uses a wide range of standardised tools and clinical observations to understand each person’s strengths, challenges, and goals. This helps us provide accurate recommendations and tailor support that truly makes a difference.

What types of assessments

Outline of a human head in profile with a stylised brain inside. Overlapping circles represent mental activity, with one pink section highlighting focus—ideal for illustrating cognitive areas addressed in OT Gold Coast or ADOS assessment contexts.

Autism Assessments (ADOS-2)

Our therapists are trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), a gold-standard tool for assessing Autism Spectrum Disorder. These assessments provide valuable insights to guide clinical decisions and help families access the right supports.

Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs)

Our occupational therapists provide detailed functional capacity assessments to understand how an individual manages daily activities and participates in community life. These assessments are particularly valuable for NDIS planning and review.

Swallowing Assessments

Our speech pathologists conduct thorough swallowing assessments to identify and support safe eating, drinking, and mealtime management – ensuring health, safety, and quality of life.
